Multiple stacks of rocks arranged on the ground against a cloudy sky background.

at river & stone, we believe everyone is capable of change.

if you’re here, you’re likely feeling stuck. maybe you are trapped in the cycle of doubting, checking, doubting, checking, feeling chained to your anxiety while life happens around you. maybe you are finding yourself in conflict with people you love, or finding yourself acting in a way you’re not proud of. maybe you need to make a big change but you’re frozen. maybe you just don’t recognize yourself right now.

therapy can help you figure out what a life worth living looks like to you. we can work on learning how to respond differently to what is bothering you and shift into actions that will help you thrive long-term.

our specialties

  • OCD, anxiety, and panic make us feel stuck in an endless loop. break the cycle with exposure therapy, a scientifically-supported approach to confronting our fears and learning to ride waves of distress.

exposure therapy leaves people feeling courageous, empowered, and resilient to what life throws at us.

for OCD, we specifically offer Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)

  • trauma is a wound - therapy can help restore the healing process.

river & stone offers a gentle, curious space where you can develop an understanding of what happened to you and where you go from here.

we offer evidence-based treatments for PTSD: Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), and mindfulness-based trauma therapy.

  • depression can feel like walking into a river with your pockets full of stones. depression can feel like your soul has left your body, and you worry you won’t find yourself again.

we use behavioral activation strategies to get you moving and, in tandem with mindfulness skills, learning how to feel alive again.

  • disordered eating can feel complicated. at river & stone, we use an acceptance-based, health-at-every-size approach to breaking the cycle of restricting, bingeing and purging.

we use ACT, CBT for eating disorders (CBT-E) and mindfulness training to support developing a more balanced relationship with food and your body.

  • body image issues plague many of us. people in larger bodies face fatphobia and weight-based discrimination nearly every day. trauma causes many of us to develop a disrupted relationship with our bodies.

regardless of why shame is present around your body, we can work toward developing self-compassion and building a life that helps you restore your sense of self.
